Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
— Philippians 4:6
Anxiety asks us to carry tomorrow today. Prayer invites us to lay it down, one breath at a time.

Stillwater · A sanctuary for the soul
Quiet your mind, open your heart, and rest in ancient wisdom. Breath, scripture, and prayer — woven into a daily practice of stillness.
Word for today
"Be still, and know that I am God."
Psalm 46:10
Sacred breath
"Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life." Each inhale is a gift; each exhale, a surrender.
Begin
A 4-7-8 rhythm to quiet the body and open the heart in prayer.
Guided practices
Choose a practice. Stay with it for a few minutes. Let the prayer become your own.
Name three things weighing on your heart. Open your hands as you breathe out, offering each one to God's care. Whisper: 'Not my will, but yours.'
Recall five small mercies from today — a meal, a kind word, the breath in your lungs. Thank God for each, slowly, by name.
Place a hand over your heart. Breathe in: 'You are with me.' Breathe out: 'I am not alone.' Repeat until the words become true in your body.
Where did you feel most alive today? Where did you feel distant? Speak honestly to God about both, without judgment, as a child to a loving parent.
Scripture for the weary
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
— Philippians 4:6

He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations.'
— Psalm 46:10
Stillness is not absence — it is presence. In the quiet, we remember who holds the world.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
— Isaiah 26:3
Peace is the fruit of trust. Where the mind rests on God, the heart finds its still point.
"May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Numbers 6:24–26
